Paul, if you read this, just know that I have been wanting to articulate this exact concept! I agree with every word. It’s about faith and not ‘religion’, LOVE and not JUDGEMENT. We are not called to judge. No man has any divine right to judge another - we are only accountable to God, and people shoving hate ‘in the name of God’ down everyone else’s throats need to understand that.
Jesus did not waste his time with the Pharisees and the priests. All he really did was love, regardless of the circumstances, and most of the time that unconditional love was given to the lowest in society.
Unconditional love is the absolute, the way, the only way. It is, in essence, the only way we are told to live!! God bless you, you are doing the right thing in a world of very mixed-up biblebashers.
